CYANOGENMOD 12.1 FOR REDMI 2 /2 PRIME

BEST ROM FOR MI 2/2 Prime (Cyanogenmd 12.1 Unofficial)

REDMI 2 is one of the best device available in its price segmnent . 
Redmi 2 comes with familiar MIUI which is sometimes boring. 
So , If u are bored with the MIUI then jump to the best available rom  for redmi 2and redmi 2 prime.

For installing rom first you need to root your phone.
If you have already rooted your phone then skip this step.

DOWNLOAD REQUIRED:-

update.zip and RootRedmi2.zip,  and put both the files into your internal memory.

Download  Unnoficial CM12.1 Rom for mi 2/2 prime.

Download  GOOGLE APPS..

It is recommended to put these file in the root directory of your internal memory.

IMPORTANT NOTE:-

TAKE FULL BACKUP OF YOUR PHONE BEFORE YOU PROCEED AS IF SOMETHING GO WRONG YOU CAN EASILY GET CORRECTED.

FOR TAKING BACKUP:-

1.Go To Updater.

2. Click on three dots(...).

3.Go to recovery mode.

4.Go to backup and restore.

5.Select backup to sd card.(for this backup you need approx 1.4gb free space in your internal memory.)

6.Wait till the backup completes as it takes some time.

7.Now just reboot your system

HOW TO ROOT  MI 2/2 PRIME:-

1.Now, go to UPDATER.

  

2.Tap on the 3 Dots ( ... )which will be on the top right side of your screen

3.Now Select Choose update package then select update.zip file,

4.Now your phone will be Restart by its own.

5.Then on screen swipe to right, to confirm installation.

6.Now again go to updater and click on the dots and choose update package, this time select the RootRedmi2.zip.

7.Confirm installation and your phone is rooted.....  ;-)

INSTALLING THE ROM:-

1. Go to updater, click on the 3 dots(...) and reboot to recovery mode.

2.Swipe down/up to move up and down .

3.Swipe RIGHT to select.....Swipe left To GO BACK.

4. Select format data and wipe cache.

5. Select Wipe Cache Partition.

6.Now go to Advance and WIPE DALVIK CACHE

7.Now select install zip.

8.Select choose zip from sd card.

9.Select the rom.

10. Wait tll the rom is INSTALLED.

11.Then again go to install zip and INSTALL THE GOOGLE APPS.

12.After installing the Google Apps ....select reboot your system .

11. NOW THE FIRST BOOT WILL TAKE SOME TIME AND THEN YOU CAN ENJOY THE ROM.
